3 More reasons to visit Bangkok

by Female Abroad

Bangkok's Thai name "Krung Thep" also literally translates as the "City of Angels". The city serves as the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, popularly known as the "Land of Smiles", and is the largest urban region in Thailand. As the city is the hub for international travellers and development centres for social, political, business, and economic activities it is referred to as the "Global City". While I have gone over things to do in previous articles, travellers can easily feast on this city as there is a ton of things to do so here is another round up of things to do.

Theme Parks

While I have mentioned that Bangkok is great for families, there are actually a few Theme Parks that cater to the young and young at heart, you will be catered to from Dream World, Bangkok Planetarium, Siam Park, Mall Ngamwongwan Water, and Playland.

Historical Museums

A great way to get some insight into this long standing country with a glorious past is to visit at least one museum. Plus they are also air conditioned which can be a welcome respite during the heat of the day and the entrance charges are pretty minimal. The most popular museums in Bangkok are The Ancient City, Bangkok National Museum, and the Royal Barge Museum.

Vibrant Nightlife

When the sun goes down in the city, it is still vibrating so no matter where you go, you are sure to find something to keep you busy for the evening. I briefly touched on the nightlife in a previous article but if you are actually interested in joining the crows for a great night out then you can enjoy a variety of items from bar hopping, sunset rooftop bars, clubbing, cultural shows, cabarets, dining, strip clubs, and more. A lot of hotels even feature nightclubs in the basement that are cheap compared to what you experience in the West. Some of the best clubs are Bed Supperclub, Route 66, and Glow Narcissus.
