Rose Parade - Jan 1

If you're in West Hollywood for New Year's, look into attending the Rose Parade in Pasadena, just 15 mi (24.14km) from WeHo. This historic California celebration is a festival of flowers, music and sports unequaled anywhere in the world.


Australia Week - Jan

The single largest foreign-country promotion held annually in the US, this weeklong program showcases all things Australian: food and wine, film, arts, lifestyle, trade and investment, indigenous culture and tourism. Stay in West Hollywood to be close to all the events.


Los Angeles Marathon - February

With 25,000 runners from all 50 states and over 100 countries, the LA Marathon is the largest marathon held in California, the fourth largest in the country, and the seventh largest in the world. The route takes participants past many of LA"s most iconic landmarks, including down the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.


Grammy Awards - February

The Grammys are considered to be the US record industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards and is usually held in the Los Angeles Staples center. All of LA will be celebrating.


Oscars - February

With every new calendar year, the buzz of the entertainment community is all about Awards season. While the Academy Awards ceremony takes place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, much of the action happens in West Hollywood. Winners descend upon WeHo for exclusive after-parties like Sir Elton John's party at West Hollywood Park.


Westweek - March

Each spring, the Pacific design Center hosts WestWeek, an internationally recognized design trade event that welcomes thousands of design professionals. The event includes top industry keynote speakers, showroom programs, book signings, exhibitions, product launches and the Stars of Design ceremony.


Brit Week - April / May

Brit Week is a celebration of British excellence in California. Programming in West Hollywood and surrounding areas features art and design, film, television, music, theater, literature, technology, fashion, retail, cuisine, star-studded red carpet receptions, charity galas and museum exhibitions.


Russian Cultural Festival - May

Russian cultural month in West Hollywood is a month of unique, family-friendly events celebrating the rich culture and heritage of over 600,000 members of the Los Angeles region's Russian-speaking community. The culmination of Russian Cultural Month is the Russian Cultural Festival - a free day of entertainment, music, food sampling, Russian crafts, jewelry and more.


One City One Pride - June

One City One Pride, the City of West Hollywood's annual LGBT art festival, examines the gay lesbian, transgender and queer experience through a variety of art forms, including film, visual art, sculpture, theater and music. Beginning on Harvey Milk Day (May 22), the city presents a month of art exhibits as well as historical lectures and tours of West Hollywood's gay landmarks.


LA Pride - June

West Hollywood proudly celebrates its dynamic gay and lesbian population during the annual LA PRIDE festival and parade. The two-day festival is the largest on the West Coast, celebrating diversity and culture with booths, dance tents, food, exhibits and performances. The parade on Sunday draws more than 300,000 people to Santa Monica Boulevard.


Outfest - July

With attendance of nearly 40,000 people the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian film Festival (OUTFEST) is the largest film festival in Southern California and the region's largest gay and lesbian arts event. Many West Hollywood venues host after-parties and celebrations throughout the festival.


AIDS Walk Los Angeles - October

The AIDS WALK is a fundraising event for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other AIDS service organizations across LA county. The 10 km (6.2 mi) walk begins and ends in West Hollywood Park at San Vicente Boulevard, between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard. Over 25,000 people walk to raise money for this very important cause.


West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival - Oct 31

Join West Hollywood's revelers at the largest Halloween street party in the world and show off your most outrageous costume. On October 31, the Halloween costume Carnival draws nearly 500,000 participants to the Boulevard for food, live entertainment, music and costume contests, and attendees go all out, creating elaborate, beautiful costumes from terrifying to sexy.


DIEM: Design Intersects Everything Made - November

DIEM is a symposium to inspire, educate and encourage integral design. Critical cultural discussions, forums, presentations and keynotes from leaders in the fields of design, decorative arts, fashion, architecture, fine arts and culinary arts explore, evaluate and inspire breakthroughs for the business of creativity.
