Female Abroad review: This app is not available for download in Canada and when I was in the states, I had to create a US google account to be able to download it. Once the hassle was done it was very similar to using Uber (minus the payment part).
During high season I can imagine that it would get fairly busy but besides the normal wait for a cab we didn't have any problems. When we were in Fort Lauderdale these things were everywhere and you didn't need the app to grab a ride. I never did pay attention to if they were the same company though. If you are going to be doing a lot of travel around Miami Beach then the app is worth the hassle but we just walked mostly and were there for only a couple of days so it was not worth it for us.
