This rise in cost is estimated to be because of the number of people who have fled the country due to war and are now having to obtain travel documents at an overseas consulate.
Most Expensive - if apply for at home
If you are applying within your home country for your passport then Australia is the most expensive. An in country citizen can expect to pay U$ 282 which is up U$ 5 from last year and up from U$ 200 in 2008.
Cheapest Passport
Tunisian at only U$ 25 and will get you visa free travel into 66 countries.
Best Deal Passport
The best deal is Germany with a cost of U$ 120 and access to 177 countries visa-free travel.
