Locally Made Souviners

When it comes to shopping a lot of people head to the USVI as the American's are allowed to bring back more items than anywhere else due to the higher duty free allowance here. Unfortunately us Canadians are limited by our standard allowances but you can still take advantage of the lack of taxes here. No matter where you are from there are a few main places that people head to, to shop:

Charlotte Amalie

Most cruise ships will dock near this town so this will be the easiest place to head to first. Most of the shops can be found at Post Office Square and then down Main Street.

Crown Bay Center

This is the newest shopping spot on the island and has a bit of everything from electronics to clothing and everything in between.

Havensight Shopping Mall

If you are travelling in peak season or your cruise line as an agreement with the port then this could be one shop where your ship docks. Surprisingly a lot of people head right into downtown Charlotte Amalie so this mall can be a quiet haven while you shop for duty free items and everything you could want is found here. Some of the businesses are port of the Havensight Merchant's Association which means that your purchases are 100% guaranteed.

Yacht Haven Grande

Near Havensight (within walking distance) this shopping center is where you can find all the luxury, upscale shops and complimentary luggage check at the Welcome Center (9am - 5pm, M-F) so then you can shop without any baggage.

If buying local is important to you then these places on St. Thomas are worth a visit.

Eden Living

Handmade items from sculptures to wood carvings, ceramic, to wall art, jewelry to clothing. They also sell the Caribbean Sun necklace here.

ARC Premium Caribbean Vodka

You know rum but what about Caribbean vodka? A local brother sister team grew up on the island and wanted to create something that is unique to the island so they decided to create a vodka with Caribbean flavoring. The vodka starts as pure cane sugar like run but then it is distilled (turning it into Vodka) and infusing it with locally sourced herbs from USVI as well as the Caribbean Islands.

The Pearl Lady

Various jewelry handmade on the island with pearls from all around the world.

Get Charmed

Various sandal themed pendants.

Anatolian Fine Art

Various art from local artists as well as world wide offerings.
