Thanh Chuong Viet Palace

(30 km away from Hanoi)

Found in the mountains, this palace is a hidden gem in the outskirts of Hanoi and has one of the most attractive cultural heritages in Vietnam. The palace is a complex of restored traditional buildings that honor Vietnamese spiritual values. You will also find lotus ponds, leafy gardens, and lots of art as well as antiques. Chua Huoung - The Perfume Pagoda

(60 km away from Hanoi)

One of Vietnam's most important pilgrimage sites, The Perfume Pagoda is a group of temples and caves in the rocks of a limestone mountain Huong Tich Son (Mount of Fragrances). If you want to go, it is quite the experience as you would need to rent a car in Hanoi, drive about 2 hours to the parking lot, then take a small boat, rowed by women from the local village for one hour to the foot of the mountain, after that on foot or by cable car to the top pagoda. Cuc Phuong National Park

This is one of the most popular national parks in the country with paths for those that want to walk or bike around it. Halong Bay
